Campus Resources: The labs are pretty nice. There aren't always all the resources that we need, but for a community college, it's pretty great. We always had all of the resources for the labs that we were doing. And the Writing Center and the Student Success Center, both full of tutors for students, were quite useful. They weren't as well publicized as they could have been, though.
Campus Quality: Overall, John Tyler is just an okay school in all areas. Considering the facilities, the library is really nice, but that's about it.
Academic Experience: I cannot go far here at John Tyler with my major. They only offer a limited amount of courses and soon I am going to have to transfer.
Academic Experience: The professors at John Tyler are awful. Well, MOST of them. The professors do not know how to effectively teach their subject. It's bad to the point where I have to teach myself and go to outside sources to learn the information in order to pass the exams. Given, this does not pertain to ALL professors who are employed at John Tyler. You would expect to go to a college to learn from a graduated, well taught professor who knows the subject like the back of their hand. That's not what they have at John Tyler from my experience here.
Student Body: John Tyler has a higher white ethnic group than any other but you still see a mix of everyone there. Acceptance isn't hard because we are a community college so most people are there straight out of high school or working parents.*(4)
