• Academic Experience: The nursing program is split up into 3 groups. Morning, Night, and Hybrid programs. These groups do not mix and mingle among each other, which is too bad. The students could learn from each other. It would be helpful for students to teach each other how to read instructors, how to prepare for the class, and study tools to help pass the class.
• Academic Experience: Air craft, automotive, nursing, general ed, dental hygiene, GED... It is best know for air craft work.
• Student Body: The tech school has a large range of students. There are the aircraft students, automotive students, nursing students, dental hygiene students, and there are large amounts of high school kids that were kicked out of school for disciplinary issues that are trying to get their GED. South campus has more break ins and items stolen, than the other two campuses.
• Campus Resources: There is a library at the south campus...there are some areas for computer access at the north campus. There is not a athletic area...or team due to tech school status.
• Campus Resources: The campus resources are for the most part pretty good. They definitely give you all the needed tools and equipment to get a quality education. As far as the Federal Work Study program is concerned though, they are not very willing to allow interested students to participate. Makes no sense to me why accept students to come learn in the facility and then deny them to work in the same facility and gain experience first hand simply due to past history.
• Campus Resources: The network reliability is sketchy. Sometimes it works, and others times it is being fixed. For the 2013 nursing program, we had to buy computer programs that were over a hundred dollars, never used them due to the school not having the program accessibility on their network. Students were not reimbursed.
• Campus Quality: The North campus is the best campus they have. It is modern, up to date, and clean. The South campus sits across the street from a strip club...you can tell drunk drivers leave there which risks student safety in many ways. The Oliver campus is not appealing at all.The nursing program has an awesome sim lab at the north campus. There is a mannequin that gives birth. You can see the contractions, it bleeds, you can pull the placenta out....it is amazing! The Maternal child class is the hardest class of the program, but has one of the best teachers and she makes models by hand to help her students.*(4)
