• Academic Experience: The professors are kind and understanding
• Academic Experience: All of my instructors seem very educated and experienced in their subjects, as most are previous law enforcement officers, so it really lends a sense of wisdom to what they want to teach us.
• Academic Experience: I love my program, not just because of my personal passion, but because of how hands-on my school is. I really feel like I'm learning what I'll need in the field. Plus I get to meet and network with professionals already working in the area.
• Campus Resources: We have to pay for whatever we print. I have no idea if this is common, but I feel that we pay enough in tuition and activity fees to cover the paper we need to present out work on. Seems a little silly to me. Anyway, there's also only one computer lab on my particular campus, which is sometimes problematic. I've been kicked out of the lab before simply because an instructor was holding a class in there. We weren't even allowed to work silently in the back row. That gets irritating.
• Campus Resources: We have little to no extra campus material such as athletic centers. I would absolutely love somewhere to get fit for the job; even a gym membership stipend would be appreciated. But alas, we have no such facilities.
• Student Body: I am definitely in the minority on my particular campus. As a non-heterosexual, genderqueer, liberal female, I make a bit of a splash in my white-male-Republican-20-somethings that make up the vast majority of my student body. Sometimes it's noticeable, but most of the time I'm pretty quiet anyway, so it's not a big deal.*(4)
