• Student Body: Our student body is very diverse but I think there is a majority of hardworking, dynamic individuals. It's definitely not a party school because most people are here to study, learn, and transfer their credits.
• Campus Resources: The school looks like a mental institution. The teachers I have encountered are warm and friendly but the support staff seems to hate their job. My adviser is great though. I do like that they are updating the theater. I also like the green areas on campus and the presence of a lot of trees.
• Campus Resources: Wifi is constantly going out. Printers are always on the fritz. You have to pay for prints.
• Campus Resources: The campus is easy to find your way around. The buildings are neatly organized into the sciences, the arts, events such as plays and sports, and student resources where one could find the extensive library, the offices of teachers willing to meet with students at office hours clearly stated in their syllabi. The student center in the science building allow students to meet for a variety of reasons, allowing us to seek tutoring for classes or just socialize.
• Campus Resources: Cafeteria, gym, pool, weight lifting room as well as a dance studio/yoga & aerobics area, large library, student center, campus activities, school garden, etc.
• Academic Experience: Wright's theater program is small. This statement has been repeated by students and faculty members. Our theater seats about 200, and my theater professor has described the acoustic within it as lackluster, so classes were usually held in the TV studio. However, I will defend my college tooth and nail against critics who are too harsh. Theater courses help a variety of students within the major, from actors to crew members to etc, to prepare for transfer and indulge in their passions. Recently, I along with three of my fellow students were nominated to compete in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Saginaw, Michigan, and were allowed to perform our play, "Jesus Hopped the A Train," by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Before we performed, our director said that while we may have been one of the underdogs, we were there and we were performing our play. We stood as equals with some of the biggest theater colleges in the country.*(4)
