This school is horrible! Please don’t waste your time as you will end up in square one again. The advisors are beyond useless, you are forced to navigate through school yourself. The programs are impossible to get into, even if you meet ALL of the requirements, making students waste 1 or even 2 years of their life trying to obtain a degree naugatuck valley only has 20 seats for. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for. If you want a quality education, unfortunately you will have to invest in it. I have transferred to Sacred Heart University and I have never felt so thankful to be apart of a school where they actually want there students to succeed! Please save your time, I know community college is free, but it's free for a reason and no one in this school is looking out for you like they should be.
Naugatuck Valley Community College is a good place to receive your associates. There are professors who push their students to become better individuals in which motivates the student to keep pushing forward. The professors here are also very helpful and care to help their students further their education. What I like about NVCC is the faculty. The faculty are kind and helpful and always strive to help students who are in need of help. NVCC is a fun place to meet new people and make new memories that you keep forever. What I would like to see change in NVCC are the classroom desks, the cafeteria food, different clubs. The classroom desks are narrow and do not allow space for the individual to be able to write nor have their electronic device be in the same desk. The cafeteria food from NVCC has changed drastically, periodically over the years the change has been gruesome. What once was good no longer is and it feels as if the food is no longer being made with love and care.
Really great experience. Wonderful faculty and student body are pretty well connected with each other. Everyone wants to see each other succeed students and teacher go the extra mile for everyone to feel supported.
