The Department of Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University focuses on advancing animal sciences for the betterment of animals and humans through:

The department is the leading provider of animal science education research in Ohio; and is consistently collaborating with other academic, industry, and government professionals and scientists across the world. Our faculty conduct cutting-edge research that has widespread implications for both traditional and emerging fields in agriculture, along with animal and human health. The Graduate Program in Animal Sciences offers a Masters in Animal Science (MAS), MS and Ph.D.degrees. Training is offered in both applied and basic aspects of animal sciences. The program will prepare students for positions in industry, academia, and government, both in the applied and basic sciences.
Graduate students also have the opportunity to obtain their degrees through two interdisciplinary paths:
Optional Practical Training (OPT)
