Research Groups

The research of the Energy Group is associated with the effective generation and use of energy. Much of the work is driven by the need to meet environmental constraints and is targeted towards a cleaner, more sustainable world.

The fluids group covers research across the span of fluid mechanics, incorporating experimental, theoretical and numerical techniques.

The Turbomachinery Group's research focuses on the fluid dynamics and thermodynamics of all types of turbomachinery. The Group has excellent contacts with industry and other research organisations with much of the research being supported by contracts from industries and governments from around the world.
