China Scholarship Council (CSC)

This scheme provides academically excellent Chinese students with the opportunity to study for a PhD at the University of Glasgow. The scholarships are supported jointly by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the University of Glasgow.

The College of Arts will provide ONE successful applicant commencing PhD study in the College in October 2017 with a scholarship to cover tuition fees. The CSC will consider an application for a living allowance.

The scholarship is available to applicants who, at the time of application, are citizens and permanent residents of the People's Republic of China and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis to a PhD degree programme offered in the College of Arts.

Please note: An offer of admission to the College of Arts is not a guarantee of a nomination to the CSC. There will be internal scrutiny of all relevant admissions applications received in the first instance.
