Rowan College South Jersey - Cumberland Reviews
Rating 3.86 out of 5 226 reviews
Rowan College of South Jersey is an exceptional school that offers flexible schedules that work with their students who may also have to juggle other responsibilities in their lives. They give the life-changing opportunity of education to many individuals who are underprivileged, such as myself, giving them hope for a brighter tomorrow. It is the most convenient and cost-effective school in South Jersey for students pursuing radiography and other allied healthcare professions, as they offer a wide range of courses and degrees. Resources and campus tolerance for autistic and neurodivergent students leave much to be desired. Speaking as an autistic person who wasn't diagnosed until 18, I had a few negative experiences that ultimately led to me becoming academically suspended, which could have been avoided if there were more services to ensure the success of students with disabilities and/or facing hardship while attending school.
Nursing student here. I have never seen such disorganization in a program in my life. Instructors state they're willing to help yet when you ask for help understanding topics all they say is "you got this", or they just flat out tell you they can't meet with you due to them having other jobs. They state they are there for the students, yet are never available for them, and if we have an issue, we shouldn't go to them but we should go to our student rep so the student rep can then speak with the instructor. They are very unprofessional and when learning new nursing topics, every Tuesday for lecture they just read off PowerPoint slides word for word and state that the slides have information that will be on the exams, only to find out that is all a lie and none of the questions on the exam were on the slides. If you plan on becoming a nurse, PLEASE go to a different school. This program is just a waste of your time and they care more about failing students than teaching them to succeed.
It’s actually a great place to start off if you just want to lay low with paying a four year college. So, you can transfer after two years.
