Muskegon Community College Reviews
Rating 3.58 out of 5 453 reviews
My overall experience with Muskegon Community College was pretty nice, but not what I hoped it would be. I was expecting the college to be like university's where they don't take attendance and are much more "chill" than high school teachers. Muskegon was very insistent on the whole class participating and took attendance every day we had class. I would like to see that change, because we are adults and we should be given some freedom in how we should use our time. If we don't show up to class, we shouldn't have points deducted from our grade because we are responsible for ourselves. I did like that the classes were smaller, which means that we had a closer relationship with our professors than universities. I also enjoyed the lab days we've had and I learned a lot through hands on learning and dissections.
My overall experience at Muskegon Community College has been wonderful. I really enjoy the environment, the campus set up is very nice. In the fall semester the outside is just beautiful. I have had amazing experiences with teachers and staff members. Everyone at MCC cares about your educational goals and success. My first college experience has been extremely nice.
I believe support from teachers helps students succeed. When students know the teacher cares it makes all the difference in the world. It motivates them and helps students to see a new perspective. My teachers have gone above and beyond to help me understand the material. My professors have also gave me words of encouragement such as "I see your hard work" and I really appreciate the positive feedback. The building has a calm and quiet atmosphere.
