Big Bend Community College Reviews

So far Big Bend Community College has been overall a very good experience. I am enrolled in the aviation program, and so far I have loved it. The professors are amazing at what they do, the aviation ground school is informative, and the flying is always exciting. The rest of the academic classes that I've taken also are great. I would say they are less interesting than my flight classes, but that's simply due to my bias towards aviation and my passion for flight.
I would say some things that have been slightly subpar about Big Bend are the campus life. The dorms could use some upkeep and extra cleaning. There isn't any way to get food through the college in the form of a cafeteria or food plan, which is slightly inconvenient. They do offer some food through a food bank, however, but it doesn't fulfill the same needs. The activities planned by school faculty could also use a little spicing up.
Besides those things, I have greatly enjoyed my time at Big Bend Community College.

I have had a great experience at this school, the teachers always seem welcoming and like they care about your success. The campus is inviting and frequently engages in activities for the students that are fun and free. I have attended their study sessions, free lunches, and game days several times already.
As a running start student big bend is pretty awesome! The teachers want you to learn, everyone is very supportive and accessible. I think the biggest issues with Big Bend is it's a bit far from town and the cafeteria unfortunately closed, so you will have to go to town for food. There are buses that run every day thou and you can ride anywhere you need to go. Just be sure to reach out for help.
