VSCC is a campus for people who enjoy small communities. The professors are one of their best qualities, they support and guide you through everything. If you are the type of person who needs special attention, VSCC provides tutors on campus and online. Additionally, they give students access to scholarly data, article, and citation tools. They also have clubs that give people the opportunity to interact with new people and learn about the college culture. VSCC provides some sports options such as Basketball, Baseball, and Tennis. Although the cafeteria is not opened yet, they provide students with food and beverages. The college offers a lot of opportunities to not only college students but to high school students as well, such as dual enrollment program. Overall, VSCC is a great option if you want to attend an affordable college that provides part time job options, scholarships, federal aid and leadership programs like NSLS. VSCC is all about unity and growth.
As a freshman, I was very nervous to start college. I actually had 2 classes in person this semester, but I had to drop them due to some medical issues. Online classes are very fun and easy to complete, when the person is organized. When I first went to the campus to sign up for my classes, the staff and professors were very welcoming. I am very relieved that the first semester is almost over!
Overall I have had a great experience with Vol State and cannot wait to for the Fall semester. I took majority of my classes online; however, I did take one class in person and it was a super easy experience.
