Kirtland Community College has been an amazing start to college life. It was an easy transition from high school to college, and I was able to meet a lot of amazing people and professors. It's a pretty small school, so if there was one thing that could change it would be more diversity and more study spaces.
They fired a professor halfway through the semester due to lack of teaching. The professor that took over that class and taught all classes for the first semester was also later fires for lack of teaching. The nursing program has new clinical instructors every semester. They are not informed on where we are in the program. There for they expect us to know things we will be learning next semester. Also because they are new clinical instructors they struggle to know how to teach the paperwork side of things. Your clinical score is completely based off of concept maps. However none of their staff can explain them.
So far my experience at Kirtland has been phenomenal, the instructors are amazing and have so much knowledge to share. They are very willing to take the time to show and explain the material in a way you understand it. The only thing I would like to see change is the Chemistry class should be in person and not online.
