Southwest Texas Junior College Reviews
Rating 3.69 out of 5 261 reviews
Southwest Texas Junior College is a multicampus junior college system that serves Del Rio, Uvalde, Eagle Pass, Crystal City, and Hondo. The College is primarily focused on producing associates degrees, nursing degrees, and law enforcement however it partners with Sul Ross University in order to help student receive bachelors degrees and holds regular on campus transfer events to make sure that students are encouraged to continue their education and receive the resources they need. The professors are all amicable and well versed in their respective subjects with good response times to inquiries. Housing is available at the Uvalde campus although most students live within the communities they are attending. The school has extremely helpful counselors who answer any questions and are available at all times by appointment as well as fosters a strong tutoring community for students in need of extra assistance.
All students, professors and staff are really kind people, they make you feel appreciated and valued. What I like most about Southwest Texas Junior College is that if you have a question or are concerned about something the staff of the college will help you out in a kind way.
Southwest Texas Junior College is located in a small town called Uvalde. It’s a small, friendly campus and easy to navigate. It has many support group as well as new on coming support groups being add for academic and personal support. The staff is friend and work in a very good timely matter. They handle most if not all matters within the same day. My academic councilor has been so much help with my degree plan. She has also helped me with technical support as well and guidance in financial support plans. As of right now there is nothing I would change about the school considering everything it stands for and has to provide to get me to my degree. I like the atmosphere it has with everyone on staff and how well maintain the campus is. It has provides a safe atmosphere with the security is provides all around the campus and for the dorms. I like the professors for the classes I have registered for and like their teaching techniques.
