MCC is a great college! The classes are super easy to register for and there are so many people to help you around school and finding out information. Making friends can be hard but approaching them and asking them about the class you are both in can help start a a conversation. MCC is a pretty big campus in my opinion but you will get the hang of it. There are free tutors around the building which is really nice because tutors can be expensive. Financial aid is a big thing for college and the lines can be really long but you will get a lot of help from students and the person that does financial aid. Food stamps are also provided which is really nice because bills and food can be expensive. They give bookstore credit to those who are able to get it and it saves you so much money from spending out of your pockets for textbooks and other supplies.
My overall experience with Monroe County Community College has been iffy. When it came to my first year of college, I was given no support from staff, and had to constantly come down to Financial Aid to get assistance. No one seemed to know how to help me file my financial aid, and I couldn't start school on-time because of it.
When it comes to professors, I have nothing but good things to say about Professor Wise. I've only taken 4 classes through the college, and Prof. Wise has been the only Professor that actually wants their students to succeed. The others I've had gave very poor direction, and expected students to know grading criteria without posting it.
When it comes to campus life, there isn't much at all to do or anywhere to hangout. The only building that has a decent study area is the Life Science's building. Other than that, there isn't much space to get together with peers to study.

My overall experience of the college has been good. I'm enjoying my 3 classes I have this semester, and I've made a few friends on campus. It's fairly quiet around campus most of the time, and i think it would be beneficial to create/advertise more events for students to socialize more. I also think the college's website could be more user friendly, it can be difficult to navigate.
