Over the past three years, I was fortunate enough to join an academic enhancement program called the UC Davis Transfer Opportunity Program (TOP). Through this transfer preparation program, I utilized exclusive services and resources designed to prepare community college students for transfer to a four-year university. Apart from helping me understand more about the transfer process and the UC application, this program helped me envision attending a four-year institution. Over time, I became the first certified TOP Champion for my community college. Working closely with the transfer center and TOP, I led multiple tabling experiences at fairs and handshake events. Apart from TOP, I have actively participated in the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) and the Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement (MESA) program. Each program offered a helping hand, guiding me to succeed academically in lower-division coursework.
Evergreen is an amazing community college, they put their students first in everything they do, they are also trying to make sure their students get the best and experience the best in education and extra activities outside of school and in school.
My overall experience with evergreen valley college is pretty good. The campus counselors really provide a ton of help when it comes to anything, finances, class schedules and overall any questions which you might need answers. Classes are well organized and its easy to navigate around campus. The cafeteria and food options are limited though with the same thing being offered everyday at a too high of a cost. parking is not a issue as their are many lots which are available to use overall the campus is well rounded with little flaws and gives a general positive experience.
