Riverland Community College Reviews
Rating 3.96 out of 5 179 reviews
For the past two years I've been able to take college courses through Riverland. There are always going to be professors you like more than others. I enjoyed most of my classes because the instructors were very helpful. It is a safe campus where you aren't afraid to walk around alone. Austin is also a great community!
Riverland helped me to get ahead with PSEO classes, and helped me to be able to earn a degree by my high school senior year. I really liked that the professors were open to changing there curriculum to work around their students and better teach their classes. The thing that I would want to change is that many of the online classes don't have any cross-student communication at all, which I would have liked more of as I moved through those classes.
A decent and affordable community college. Classes seem to be fast paced for those looking to spend full time and attention on their academic studies. I loved my teachers here, they were all very helpful and kind in answering questions, helping with work, and excusing absences. I attended this college twice, once for the CNA program, and one for the EMT program. I liked the hands on activity provided in the CNA program, and as a class we spend majority of our time with this and not in our books for 2 hours. I was able to complete this program while in high school as part of my school day. Overall, only a couple people did not pass the class. I loved the set up of this, and the way the bar is set high. Not achieving a high score on a test by the second try cuts you from the program, which personally I think is a perfect incentive.
