West Valley College Reviews
Rating 3.9 out of 5 520 reviews
West Valley College was a great option for me and I'm very happy I attended. I started in 2021 and because of the pandemic, everything was completely online. Even though my classes and labs were 100% remote, I felt extremely supported by all the teachers and faulty. When I had a question or concern, I was able to get a response quickly and able to resolve whatever issue I was facing. The teachers had vast materials all online with PowerPoints, videos, and extra lectures posted. Everything was extremely accessible and I knew that if I ran into any issues, I would be supported and helped until it was resolved.
My Experience at West Valley College has been excellent. Nearly every single teacher I've ever had has been fantastic and inspiring especially due to their passion for their subject matter. Everyone has been very friendly and no one has ever made the experience uncomfortable. Even during the fully online semesters during the pandemic, I managed to learn a lot, and even found my passion for math with the help of one amazing (calculus) professor. Another professor catalyzed my love for biology and all topics related to preservation of the natural world. The cast of professors at West Valley is an absolute treasure trove and I would highly recommend anyone to enroll in classes here. WVC is not the only community college I have attended. I've also been to De Anza, which didn't uplift me in any way remotely close to WVC. WVC has a beautiful campus in addition to its amazing staff. It has a lot of trees and a creek runs through it, with small paths throughout, reminding us nature.
At first starting a college or university, whatever you may be attending, can be absolutely terrifying but coming to West Valley College, they made this new change go a lot smoother. They offer many resources that anyone can use but it is especially useful for those who may struggle financially or even mentally. There is always someone on campus who is cheering for you and is willing to always give you a helping hand. Highly recommend coming here if you are in the area
