Research

The Division of Systems Engineering is engaged in interdisciplinary ground-breaking research with faculty from the College of Engineering collaborating with faculty in the College of Arts and Science, the Questrom School of Business, the School of Medicine, Computing and Data Sciences (CDS), and the Centers for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE). With $58 million in active funds, $50 million in continuing grants, and $8 million in new grants, our research is having an impact in areas with broad societal applications. These include: sustainable energy systems, smart cities, intelligent transportation, robotics and autonomous systems, cybersecurity, medical informatics, and computational biology.
