Our funding commitments
Along with eliminating the GRE as a requirement, increasing financial support for our public health students is an important step towards reducing inequity in educational opportunities. Our investment in you is an investment towards a healthier world for all.
Guaranteed Access Grant
All students accepted into our 2024 On-Campus MPH and MS single degree programs are guaranteed grants to immediately reduce the cost of your tuition:
- On-Campus MPH: $25,000 Access Grant
- On-Campus MS: $20,000 Access Grant
You may also be eligible for additional scholarships and financial aid. Please review the information below regarding eligibility.
Paid practicum opportunities
Through Generation Health, On-Campus MPH students are eligible for stipends of up to $5,000 to support work with community organizations that cannot offer compensation.
Special scholarship opportunities
We offer special scholarship opportunities and application fee waivers for students of undergraduate institutions and/or individuals affiliated with organizations that share our commitment to social justice.
Additional scholarships and fellowships
You may also qualify for additional scholarship opportunities, on-campus fellowships, and/or financial aid.

On-Campus MPH/MS Tuition Costs, 2023-2024
Tuition rates are set annually by the Boston University Board of Trustees. In 2024, BUSPH is guaranteeing scholarship aid to all accepted applicants for our on-campus, single degree programs. This will help to defray the tuition costs listed below:

| $31,904 per semester* | $1,994 per credit |
*This does not include the Access Grant or other scholarship awards. On-campus MPH students can complete course requirements in 3, full-time semesters; MS students can complete course requirements in 2, full-time semesters.
