Research Centers, Labs and Clinics
The College of Education is home to two research centers, which represent holistic and current research foci. Our centers foster collaboration, facilitating partnerships between federal and academic entities. They also provide an identity and organizational structure for some of the College of Education's major research areas.
We have recently opened the Lehigh Autism Services Clinic, which is housed with the Center for Promoting Research to Practice. Many grants are housed in the Center and we hope you reach out to find more about what we do.

Labs & Clinics
Lehigh University Autism Services
Autism Services is a university-based research and professional training center for autism spectrum disorders. It is directed by Dr. Lee Kern, Professor of Special Education and Director of the Center for Promoting Research to Practice.
Behavioral and Emotional Risk & Achievement Motivation (BEAM) Research Lab
Project Beam is a research lab focused on behavioral and emotional risk and achievement motivation. Dr. Bridget Dever, an associate professor of school psychology, directs Project Beam. The lab is comprised of Dr. Dever along with undergraduate, education specialist-level and doctoral school psychology students.
Centennial Lab School
Centennial Lab School pursues two principal missions; serving children and youth with educational disabilities and preparing high quality teachers to enter the workforce of special education through a collaboration with special education faculty in the College of Education. Dr. Julie Fogt is the Director of Centennial School.
Community Voices Clinic
The Community Voices Clinic (CVC) is a school-based mental health clinic operating within the family centers at regional schools. The clinic provides free, culturally informed therapy services to children, adults, and families and also serves as a training site for graduate students in Counseling Psychology. The Clinic is directed by Dr. Chere D. Hunter, teaching assistant professor of counseling psychology.
Promoting Engagement with ADHD Pre-Kindergarteners (PEAK)
Sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), Project PEAK works with parents to gain effective behavior management strategies to use in their home and community, receive support from a child development specialist, develop a personalized plan of action and connect with other parents. PEAK is directed by Dr. George DuPaul, professor of school psychology.
Research and Education for ADHD in Childhood Development (REACH) Lab
The ADHD Research and Education for ADHD in Childhood Development (REACH) Lab intervention for children and adolescents. Dr. George DuPaul, professor of school psychology and associate dean for graduate research directs the lab. The Lab is located with the Center for Promoting Research to Practice.
The Resistance Lab
The Resistance Lab works to end gender-based violence through feminist consciousness raising, high quality research and empirically supported programming. Dr. Nicole (Nic) L. Johnson, assistant professor in counseling psychology, directs The Resistance Lab. The Resistance Lab is comprised of Dr. Johnson, along with masters-level and doctoral students, although undergraduate students, and community members are welcome to join.
