It is a really good school for the ones who opt for transfer and are interesting in getting the associates certificates from the college. The classes, maintenance and professors are really good.Mainly, the professors are friendly and wish to make changes in your life in a better way. They strive to bring the best out of you not only academically but also in other aspects too.I am a STEM Major CS student from ECC and I am really enjoying my studies without any stress. My grades are also intact and I keep learning new things from this college. The college also offers STEM, MESA and HTP for engineering aspirants. Not only for engineering, this college does have a lot of resources like library, book store, and even the transport service is free of cost to those opting for a bus. This college has many trained and experienced professors, books to help students in every way possible and has many branches like Business, Gymnatics, Music, Art, Dance, Instruments etc.One of the best schools in CA.
El Camino College is an excellent choice for new students as it is highly diverse and welcoming. I come from a unique background, being of mixed Mexican and Chinese heritage and growing up in South Gate. At El Camino, inclusivity is highly valued and all ethnic groups are well-represented. The staff is exceptional at helping students overcome fears of college and pushing them to achieve their full potential. The campus is vibrant, with numerous social events that offer great opportunities to connect with fellow students and staff alike. I am incredibly proud of my decision to attend El Camino College and am excited to continue my educational journey here.
If you're looking to save financially while still having the opportunity to be admitted into your dream university, El Camino College is just for you. The professors truly care about your wellbeing and academic success. They are very thorough with instructions and provide course material applicable to the real world. However, I would like to see more effort put into communicating with students. The support staff are not consistent with response times and often have unserviceable hours at weird times. There are many occasions where I have not been able to reach a staff member when I needed assistance. Additionally, security and safety of students should be a top priority. With recent events involving a sledgehammer attack and other threats occurring to students on campus, I'm afraid El Camino College has failed to provide the bare minimum of protection.
