I enjoyed my entire experience from the time I started to the time I graduated. It was very easy to get tutoring for my classes, I could reach out to my academic advisor about anything and receive a kind, timely response. Everyone gave warm smiles and encouragement day to day! It was a very lovely and rewarding experience for me.
Wilkes Community College is overall a decent college. The professors I have encountered have not been the best, they seem to lack the ability to actually instruct. They are getting too used to handing out information, or making it an online access and rarely guide and instruct. The college itself is acceptable but the rest falls below my standards for a college.
Wilkes Community College is an excellent two-year institution, especially when considering their online programs. Before the pandemic, the community college was already offering online courses that were efficient and effective, so the college was not totally unprepared for the influx of online students that occurred in 2020. The teaching and curriculum are accessible, yet you feel that you are really getting the real deal when interacting with these professors and instructors. The college really benefits the community with its affordable courses and education. I am very proud to have earned my associate degree through the college, and I am sure there several others who would agree with my statement.
