Studying at Los Angeles Pierce College was a very pleasant experience. As an international student, I was welcomed by the International Students Services with a meeting and lunch, where I could meet other fellow students who shared similar experiences. We had a tour through the beautiful campus, which has a lot of nature, squirrels, and beautiful areas to relax in between classes. They even have their own botanical garden, pool, sports building, library, health care, stores, and free tutoring. The professors are highly intelligent and competent. Classes are offered in person, hybrid, or online. My experience at this college was amazing, and I highly recommend it to any student looking for an associate's degree, transfer, or certificate.
My all-inclusive thoughts regarding my experience at Pierce College would be the alethic department is pretty well established and funded within the school environment as well as the upkeep is very well maintained. I believe they have a variety of classes to choose from to get college credits and just because it's a community doesn't mean anything less for credits gained during my time online with this college. Highly recommend it for someone needing some college credits!
I greatly enjoyed my experience at this community college. Over the 2 years that I have spent here I had amazing professors and classes. Every one of the professors that I have had have been extremely dedicated to their students and their success. Some have gone as far to reach out to me when they noticed that I was struggling or that I was missing a day of class. It doesn't just stop at the professors either. Many of the support staff are also very dedicated. They hold many events to support students In their registration, financial aid, enrollment, and so much more. At Pierce there isn't much campus life. Most of the students come for their classes and go home. This however does not mean that they do not try. There are several events a month hosted by the ASO and other clubs. That being said the athletics aren't very good either. Many of the teams lack the funding, participation, and dedication that you may find at other schools.
