I feel like Wayne College has opened many doors to me just by attending my first semester there. The combination of a great education guiding me towards my career in nursing as well as affordable prices for classes has really been such a blessing.
Affordable tuition and living in Akron
Prestigious education with tuition lower than other comparable universities in the U.S.
Also, the cost of living in Akron is much lower than larger cities while still providing relatively high starting salaries.
They also have an excellent International Center on campus that provides support for students from before they arrive in the US to after they graduate.
University of Akron is a very friendly and warm place; It also has some kickass engineering programs including polymer science and polymer engineering. The faculty of both these departments are revered across generations and arenas as they’ve fraternised with some huge names during the 80’s and the place still holds the aura of greatness.
The tuition is moderate which makes it easy for students like me who are self funded. Also, Akron is easy in your pockets. It’s a quiet, domestic place which doesn’t offer much in terms of a party life but gives you peace of mind.

I have been admitted to the University of Akron for fall 2023. Unfortunately I have not been able to secure my Visa yet. My experience with Akron has been wonderful and amazing right from the beginning of my application till now. The school's unwavering support in my success cannot be rated. They quickly reply emails sent to them. I didn't have to wait for days or weeks before getting a response. Even when the person is on leave, he or she leaves a message for all students he or she supports. This experience actually made me feel I made the right choice and I am hoping to see more as soon as I am able to get my visa and arrive. I have experienced some personnel like Nicole Kille, an amazing woman who makes you feel important though you are not yet with them.
