McDowell Technical Community College Reviews
Rating 3.67 out of 5 52 reviews
Overall, a very great community college. Staff and professors are always willing to help with anything. I particularly like how small my classes were, that way we were all more connected with other classmates and the professor. I sometime have trouble speaking in front of others, but I felt more comfortable in smaller classes to speak.
The staff here is amazing, everyone I talk to is extra helpful. At MTCC they have great programs, like the food pantry that they have in honor of a former teacher. Student services are great. The Library had a huge selection as well as places to study or hang out. The food trucks on campus are great and surprisingly, so is the cafeteria food. I feel safe and welcome on campus.
I was dual-enrolled at McDowell Technical Community College, and overall my experience was amazing. Growing up homeschooled, this was my first real school experience, and it couldn’t have been better. I met so many wonderful people, quickly made new friends, and my teachers all went above and beyond to make sure that I was truly learning and understanding not only the material, but what it meant to be a dedicated and honest student. I found myself looking forward to each class, and by the time I graduated, I left with an experience that would shape not only me as a person but my future goals and aspirations as well. I’m proud to say that I graduated from McDowell Tech with High Honors, and high hopes for the future.
