College of the Albemarle Reviews

I have taken College of the Albemarle classes while in high school, taking around 3-4 college classes /semester. The opportunity COA has given me to graduate with my associates was amazing. The classes I did take in person, I thoroughly enjoyed and felt seen by my professors. My favorite class I took in person was Basic Anatomy and Physiology, it was very engaging with hands-on work and a professor that genuinely wanted his students to succeed. I have been set up very generously for university by earning my Associates here and I would recommend College of the Albemarle to anyone wanting to work towards a degree without spending a fortune.
I took COA courses and almost have my associates degree through my high school, I think COA has given me a wonderful opportunity and I will use everything I’ve learned to boost my full time college career. Being able to get high school and college credits during the same semester to work for a degree before even graduating high school has been really helpful and great for my time too. The school itself is not bad, there’s three main branches near me and I enjoy being able to have access to all 3 campuses if I wanted to take a specific class at a specific campus I could, and it was great to have access to the college students recourses even as only a dual-enrolled student. Something that could change that I would very much like would be if teachers were informed on the students in their class, whether they were Early College kids or not, and if they had certain fundamental teachings that the teachers may assume a student has but does not actually have.
College of the Albemarle is a good starter school. I will be receiving my Associates in Science in May. I enjoy the teachers for the most part and the classes are well prepared. The campuses are nice too!
