I think MiraCosta is great for a community college. Except for a few professors, most of the professors I had seemed to really care about each student and providing a great education for the students. A few of the professors exceeded my expectations by far. Even the online classes were made very engaging because of the great professors. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely still choose MiraCosta.
My experience at MiraCosta College is beyond EXCELLENT! The professors are so nice and easy to connect with, using the app, "Canvas". Assignments and notes help me remember learning the subjects and teachers always there for us. Food is amazing. Everything is awesome over here come check it out for yourself, you'll love it!!!
I loved the stem tutoring center and the free snacks available in the cafeteria. Staff including library and especially professors are very helpful and kind. You definitely have to advocate for yourself but I’m sure you do at other community colleges and universities. There aren’t many sports but there’s a ton of clubs to choose from. There are many other programs at miracosta such as accommodations for student learning, an honors society, transfer center and more. The counselors are great and are really helpful with financial aid, picking classes, and scholarships. I have definitely learned a lot and am excited to learn more going into my second year. Highly recommend!
