2025 USNEWS研究生专业排名更新啦！目前，USNEWS官网仅公布了计算机科学、商学院、教育学院、法学院和护理学院的排名，推迟了医学院、工程学院等专业排名的发布。

排名分析

今年的商学院排名最大亮点在于TOP 1的宝座从芝加哥大学，交到了斯坦福大学手中。而宾夕法尼亚大学，也由去年的第3名前进2名，和斯坦福大学并列第1。西北大学下降1名，今年排名第3。芝加哥大学下降2名，今年排名第3。麻省理工学院下降1名，位列第5。哈佛大学下降1名，位列第6。而纽约大学则前进3名，一跃成为TOP7。加州大学伯克利分校前进4名，位列第7。耶鲁大学今年也前进1名，位列第7。弗吉尼亚大学今年前进4名，成功跻身TOP10！

今年的教育学院排名变动不大，哥伦比亚大学教育学院仍稳坐第一宝座。威斯康辛大学麦迪逊分校由去年的第3名上升2位，今年和哥大并列第1。而原本去年位列第1的密歇根大学安娜堡分校则下降2位，今年排名第3。加州大学洛杉矶分校今年表现非常出色， 排名上升4位，由第7上升至第3。西北大学排名下降2位，今年位居第5。范德堡大学由去年第6上升1位，成功跻身TOP5！宾夕法尼亚大学下降3位，今年位居第7。而哈佛大学上升1位、约翰霍普金斯大学上升5名、纽约大学上升1位、斯坦福大学下降1位、德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校和弗吉尼亚大学分别上升8位，6所院校今年并列第8。

虽然前年耶鲁大学法学院宣布退榜后，便引爆了一大波顶尖法学院跟风退榜。最后，排名前14所顶尖法学院里，仅剩2所大学（康奈尔大学和芝加哥大学）表示愿意继续参与排名。在今年的法学院排名中，这些退榜的大学仍然出现在了法学院排名中。

今年的护理学排名相比去年差别不大，TOP10仍旧是这些艾茉莉大学、约翰霍普金斯大学、杜克大学、俄亥俄州立大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、范德堡大学、密歇根大学安娜堡分校、纽约大学、北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校。

  9月28日，泰晤士高等教育（THE）发布2024年世界大学排名，今年是该排名的第20届，此次共有来自108个国家和2673所学校，比去年新增了348所学校，其中有1904所大学上榜，769所大学被列为Reporter（指未上榜参与院校，这些学校虽提供了数据但不符合获得该排名的资格标准）。

  近年来，全球高校排名榜单备受争议。泰晤士高等教育宣称，2024年泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名的方法论在数据的广度、深度、细节和评估方法上进行了多项更新。

  今年新的方法论涵盖了五大一级指标：教学、研究质量、研究环境、国际前景和行业。在其下共有18项经过仔细校准的二级指标，较去年增加了五项。

  2024泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名中，美国是代表性最高的国家，共有169所学校，有56所学校进入该排名的前200名，印度上榜91所学校，目前已超过中国（86所），成为第四大代表性国家。有四个国家首次进入排行榜，均在欧洲，分别为科索沃、波斯尼亚和黑塞哥维那、北马其顿和亚美尼亚，与去年的趋势形成鲜明对比，去年新加入的学校都来自非洲。

美国

  美国是代表性最高的国家，共有169所学校，有56所学校进入该排名的前200名。斯坦福大学排名第二，哈佛大学排名第四，麻省理工学院由去年的第五名升至第三名，剑桥大学在去年并列第三之后，下滑至第五名。普林斯顿大学排在第六，加州理工大学位列第七，加州伯克利大学则在第九名，耶鲁大学是第10名。芝加哥大学再次掉出美国前十阵容

中国

  中国大陆共有86所学校上榜，有2所大学进入前20名，7所大学进入前100名，13所大学进入前200名，其他中国大陆大学排名都有上升，清华大学继续领跑亚洲，位列全球第12名，同比提升四位，该校也是亚洲第一；北京大学位列第14名，同比上升三位。在六年前发布的2018年排名中，中国大陆仅有两所大学进入前100名。在过去的五年中，中国大陆高校在世界范围内进步最大。

中国香港

  中国香港仍然是世界顶尖大学最集中的地区之一，共有6所港校上榜，其中5所大学跻身世界前100。今年，香港大学(第35)，虽然还是港校中的NO.1，但相较去年略有退步;香港中文大学(第53)，滑出了前50，但好在不多。香港科技大学(第64)，还是略有下滑，从去年的58名退步了6名。香港理工大学位居第87，下降了8名。而在前几年被理大超越的香港城市大学，今年进步神速，从99名一路上升至82名。

英国

  英国共有11所大学进入前100名，其中3所进入前10名，牛津大学连续第八年位居榜首。与去年相比，剑桥大学下降了2名，排名第5；帝国理工大学上升2名，由第10名上升到第8名。

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPUTATIONAL FINANCE AND FINANCIAL ENGINEERING?

While the terms "quantitative finance," "computational finance," "mathematical finance," and "financial engineering" are often used interchangeably, there exist relevant, subtle differences in their meanings. Financial engineering programs often emphasize finance and financial markets at the expense of more rigorous computing and quantitative skills. Some mathematical finance programs focus on theoretical math at the expense of real-world application. Few programs embed programming into their curricula and fewer still have been able to replicate Carnegie Mellon's well-balanced and carefully coordinated mix of math, probability, applied finance and computation.

Not all financial engineering degrees deliver the same value! We often advise students evaluating programs to ask the following key questions:

1. The skills needed for the quantitative finance industry are, by definition, interdisciplinary. Is the program isolated in one department or top-heavy in math or finance?

2. Will you benefit from a customized curriculum that is designed specifically for the jobs and careers of interest to you?

3. Does the program offer knowledgeable career counselors who will work closely with you and with interested recruiters in helping you obtain your career goals?

4. Will you enjoy a program with many years of experience in developing its curriculum and overall student experience?

5. Will you be participating in a program with a large alumni network and which is committed to a strong alumni ties?

一眼看过去，那些最受欢迎的都是XX师（好多工程师啊~），这些工作要么高薪，要么安全，要么有前途。而最坑爹的工作都是XX工，前者技术活，后者体力活。。虽然没有具体数据，不过估计薪水不高，很多工作内容也不怎么安全，也难怪被评为最坑的了。。

澳洲移民局宣布，从新的财年（2016年7月1日）起，移民局全面取消了以下签证：

• 570-单独的英语强化课程签证；

• 571-中学高中课程；

• 572-职业教育与培训；

• 573-高等教育；

• 574-硕士和博士课程；

• 575 -预科或其他非学历课程；

• 576 –澳大利亚国际开发署或者国防项目

• 580-学生监护人签证

在新财年以上八个签证将被两个签证取而代之。Subclass 500 学生签证以及Subclass 590 监护人陪读签证。 

从今年7月1日起，澳大利亚移民局正式引用并应用SSVF（Simplified Student Visa Framework）简化留学生签证框架，这一重大的签证框架改革旨在为广大留学生和教育机构提供一个更广泛，更简单，更公正的签证框架。这样可以提高移民局的工作效率，并且为所有学生创造一个更加公平的竞争环境。将简化学生签证的申请和审理要求，用相同的要求去审核每个学生的申请，保证学生的真实性；对在澳洲境内递交学生签证的申请人，简化对其学校入学、资金担保以及过往签证以及其他的相关要求。

SSVF 新框架的具体实施：

• 移民局将会给澳大利亚教育机构设定等级，分为一级、二级和三级风险（一级为最低风险，二级为中间等级风险，三级为高风险等级）；

• 同时移民局会设定每个国家国籍的风险等级，分为一级、二级和三级风险。

• 移民局会根据签证申请人所选的教育机构和申请人地国家风险等级的排列组合，来进一步确定申请学生签证需要什么样的材料，以及是否需要提供英语证明或资金担保证明。

• 移民局会提供网上系统的在线工具，指导学生根据所选的教育机构和学生的国籍，来明确自己需要提供的签证材料。 

注意！

SSVF是从2016年7月1日开始实施，不想影响到现有的学生签证持有人，对485签证的申请要求也没有影响。而在2016年7月1日之前，现行的学生签证审理要求不变。

总结，就是让签证的审核更加简化，让学生签证更富灵活性，让澳洲的学生签证的申请更为简单。移民局对经济要求和雅思要求会更加模糊，根据学生的学校来对申请人进行审核，对申请人经济能力和英文水平的要求取决于学生所申请的院校和学生的国籍。
